CATCH-UP CAMPS «GENERATION OF VICTORY»

Educational losses pose a significant challenge for Ukrainian education. Security risks, months without in-person classes, blackouts, and ongoing stress have rendered a full educational process impossible. Students have missed out on essential knowledge, skills, and social interaction. High school students have experienced the greatest educational losses. To assist students, GoGlobal has launched the educational recovery program, Catch-Up Camp.

Students take part in art therapy, attend individual and group sessions with professional psychologists, and practice English with international volunteers during speaking clubs. They also go on excursions and hiking trips, play educational games, and connect with peers from all over Ukraine.

In this way, we help graduates prepare for the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT) and support their social integration.

During the camps, boys and girls study core subjects — mathematics, Ukrainian history, Ukrainian language, and English. The learning process is interactive and engaging, with teachers tailoring the program to meet the students' needs and interests.

In 2023–2024, GoGlobal organized five two-week residential Catch-up Camps in Zakarpattia, reaching over 450 children from Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, and Kherson regions.

In the summer and autumn of 2023, GoGlobal conducted two-week catch-up camps in Zakarpattia, with 156 children from the Chernihiv and Sumy regions participating.

The project continued in 2024, with the first camp involving over 100 children from border and frontline hromadas in the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions. The second camp had 101 children from the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions.
